Poem10: A Stranger

A stranger as a friend
so gentle, she was nice & kind
someone whom I knew & did not know
someone who built castles on my mind.

Slowly & steadily I tried to find
but alas she lay always hidden from these eyes
yet one thing she forgot to hide from me
was her sweet & beautiful voice.

The moon spread some unforgettable memories
the dreams too went for a long shore walk
for hours together far away in solitariness
our silence did talk.

Those few moments of her company on phone
took me as far as planet mars
I did not know how & when time flew by
when sun sank & sky was full of twinkling stars.

The idea to be so close to a stranger
was like a dream not so wise
all I can do now is shed tears for her
who just came & left me by surprise.
