Poem18: A Living Corpse

I was so silent by nature
you showed me I could talk
Used to sit gloomy beside the windowpane
with you I learned to walk.

We were supposed to be together
for each other, forever
but in our minds we knew
the world would let it happen never.

For your sisters, for your parent’s happiness
we both had this sacrifice
Separated, Miles away living in pieces
Trying to come in terms with life.

Neither I was unfaithful, neither it was you
Those Circumstances remained unfaithful though
the winds of Time turned so harsh on our part
we both know.

Now that you need all my love & care
I need to do things once you selflessly did for me
I have become a joker hence,
& your life a living corpse.
